Sustainable Tourism Guidelines

For all necessary information for your visit to Matucana, go to our first blog post,

1.      Protect flora and fauna. Don’t mistreat anything or even kill insects!

2.      Don’t take home with you “souvenirs” such as rocks, plants, small animals, etc.

3.      Use Natural Resources, like water and energy, with moderation.

4.      Your travel contributes to development. What you pay ends up helping out in the protection and care for the sites.

5.      Buy local produce and artesian products to help out the local economy.

6.      Respect everything. Everywhere you visit has its own history and culture. Respect them!

7.      Enjoy getting to know culture, customs, gastronomy, and local peoples.

8.      Throw trash away using the marked receptacles. This way you won’t alter the local environment.

9.      Ecotourism is the type of tourism that leaves the least environmental impact. BE RESOPNSABLE!

10.  Leave no trace behind! Only your own footprint from walking is acceptable.

By Following These Guidelines You Will Contribute to the Rich Biodiversity of the Earth and Improve Others' Opportunities to Advance!!!

And Remember the MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL- ENJOY YOUR TRIP!!!
